For over 60 years, Bollinger has been working hard to meet the insurance needs of amateur sports organizations, from national governing (Olympic) bodies to local sports leagues. Through our exclusive nationwide programs, we provide an array of insurance products to cover sports injuries and lawsuits that threaten today's sports organizations. In addition, we offer risk management and claims services to our clients. Sports insurance products are offered on a direct basis as well as through brokers.

Bollinger Sports' Key Staff


Lori Windolf Crispo, CPCU
Senior Executive Vice President
Lori earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in History and French from Smith College (MA). She joined Bollinger in 1985 and has managed the Sports Division since 1990. Lori is responsible for all facets of the operational, financial and sales management of Sports and is instrumental in developing new products and services to benefit sports clients. She also oversees the sports risk management services provided by the division and writes a blog on sports safety to supplement that information (www.SportsSafetyIQ.com). In 2007, Lori was selected by Business Insurance as one of the “Women to Watch” in the insurance and risk management industry.

John T. Spiotta, CIC
Senior Vice President, Sales
John is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University (NJ) with a degree in Business. He started his own insurance agency in 1965 and merged his agency with Bollinger in 1975. From that time until 1993, John ran Bollinger's Commercial Lines operation. Due to his heavy involvement with the ASA/USA Softball account since the mid-1980's, he moved full time into the Sports Division in 1993. John heads up Bollinger's Soccer Insurance Program and is the producer for many of the NGB's that Bollinger insures. He holds workshops and seminars throughout the year for clients on issues and trends in amateur sports risk management.

A.J. Morgan
Senior Vice President, Sales
AJ played basketball at Davidson College (NC), where he majored in English. Upon graduation in 1990, AJ went on to teach English and coach basketball in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system and at Charlotte Country Day School eight years. AJ's love of sports brought him to Bollinger's Sports division in 2001 as a producer. AJ handles a number of the niche areas within our sports program, such as the US Indoor Soccer facilities program and Silent Sports biking program. AJ has led the sports division in new business production, making Bollinger's President's Club in three of the past four years.

Cathy Fonseca, AAI, CISR
Vice President/Account Manager
Cathy earned her Bachelor's degree from Rider College (NJ) in 1980 and subsequently joined the Equitable Life Insurance Company as a Medical Claims Supervisor. She continued as a claims manager at Blue Cross/Blue Shield before joining Bollinger in 1993. Cathy currently heads up a team of sports underwriters and is responsible for handling our largest accounts, as well as providing high level customer service and serving as a liaison with our carriers.

Brenda Lodato, AAI, CISR
Vice President/Account Manager
Brenda joined Bollinger Insurance in 1972 and brings her many years of experience to Bollinger Sports. Brenda has served in various capacities at Bollinger, from administration, to commercial lines customer service, to property/casualty claims prior to joining the Bollinger Sports Team. This experience has been invaluable to the clients and brokers with whom Brenda works. Brenda shares responsibility for overseeing the underwriting team and for handling our largest accounts. In addition, she serves on the agency's IT Task Force.

Sharon Davino
Assistant Vice President/Division Manager
Sharon is a 1992 graduate of Marywood College (PA), where she played basketball and earned her Bachelor's in Communications. Upon graduation, Sharon joined Prudential as a team leader and disability insurance consultant from 1993 to 2005. She joined Bollinger Sports in 2005 as the Division Manager, where she oversees the Sports staff, the Sports A&H claims unit, service and performance metrics and coordinates the handling of large claims between the insureds, claimants and our insurance carriers.

Margaret Schubkegel
Account Manager, National Governing Bodies (NGB's)
Margaret has been an integral member of the Sports Division since she joined us in 2000. Margaret was hired as the insurance administrator for the US Lacrosse insurance program and quickly moved to be the team leader for the ASA/USA Softball account – Bollinger's largest client. Margaret now serves as the team leader for our NGB team, overseeing the operations and staff who provide daily customer service to our national and Olympic accounts.

Courtney Ciasullo
Sports Claims Supervisor
Courtney is a graduate of Montclair State University , where she swam competitively. She joined Bollinger Sports in 2003 and was promoted to Sports Claims Supervisor in 2009. Courtney oversees the daily operations of our Sports Accident claims unit where, as the Third Party Administrator for the insurance companies with whom we write Accident insurance, we process and pay the accident claims within our Sports Insurance Program.

Sports Underwriting Team: Bollinger's Sports Underwriters provide account management and high level customer service to our insureds and brokers. They are responsible for evaluating risks, quoting and binding coverage, and handling the day-to-day service needs of our customers. The members of our Underwriting Team are: David Campanello, Senior Underwriter; and Sports Underwriters, Will Krouslis, Chirag Patel and Michael Richards.

Sports/NGB Service Team: The Sports/NGB Service Team provides courteous and professional customer service to our largest accounts, handling a high volume of phone and other incoming requests, issuing certificates of insurance and insurance policies for our clients, and processing thousands of daily transactions on behalf of these accounts. Members of our Sports/NGB Service Team are: Assistant Underwriters, Kathleen Lazzaro and Andrea Trindade; and Administrative Assistants, Adriana Gonzalez, Abigail Lee and Martha McClellan.

Sports Claims Team: Bollinger Sports is appointed as a Third Party (Claims) Administrator for the insurance companies with whom we write Accident Insurance. Our Sports Claims Team handles, processes and pays thousands of claims each year on behalf of our clients and their members who are injured during sponsored activities. Bollinger Sports' Claims Team has developed best practices for providing top quality customer service to our claimants and insureds, while handling claims professionally and efficiently ~ in English and Spanish. Our Claims Team is staffed by: Charles Ricks, Claims Examiner; and Claims Assistants, Mark Adams and Glenda Menjivar.
